Process Engineer – Pharmacuetical Industry

Position: Process EngineerShift: Days
Job Duties:
- Develop and implement guidelines and best practices for process engineering in the bio-pharmaceutical manufacturing facility
- Develop process design documents to define the design and ensure that the design components (or unit operations) fit together.
- These documents will be used in communicating ideas and plans to stakeholders and project team involved with the design, to external regulatory agencies, to equipment vendors and to construction contractors.
- Utilize workflows, execute project initiatives, ensure cost efficient management of schedule and resource
Other Responsibilities:
- Design conceptual layout of plant & production projects & manage the project from conception to implementation
- Provide input into facility design for manufacturing process, such as PFD’s, P&ID’s, and equipment design specifications (URS, FRS)
- Prepare and review technical reports
- Participate in project scope development, cost estimates and project time lines, manage external and internal resources
- Mentor and coach junior resources
Qualifications:
- Minimum a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum of 6-year hands-on experience in process engineering and related commercial scale-up/manufacturing with equipment design experience in a pharmaceutical or food industry
- Through understanding of bio-pharmaceutical process equipment specification, selection, installation, and commissioning
- Mandatory experience on fermentors, ultra-filtration skids, centrifugation, downstream process equipment
- Thorough knowledge of applicable procedures, specifications, regulations and standards

- Strong process and project management capabilities
- Strong written and oral communication skills, negotiation skills, ability to work with all levels of the organization
- Ability to balance multiple priorities with excellent time management skills
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Word, Excel, Powerpoint
