Key Account Manager – Food Industry

Our client is a manufacturer and distributor food products across Canada. They are seeking a talented Key Account Manager to join their team to assist in the advancement of their sales at their head office in Brampton.

POSITION:  KEY ACCOUNT MANAGER

Details:

  • Plan and implement all sales strategies and tactics at national level accounts with a full costing and comprehensive business plan in place to ensure delivery of objectives.
  • To exceed sales objectives, maintain sales and profit expectations for each year while growing both consumer share and distribution points
  • Work directly with key accounts providing business, sales, advertising and educational support in the Canadian Market 
  • Develop proposals, negotiate terms and conditions, and implement contractual agreements with new and existing accounts while maintaining accountability for delivering strong financial results
  • Coordination of activities in support of the channel including Account and Market launches, communications and key metrics with matrix departments including Marketing, Operations, Field Sales and Supply Chain
  • Act as an internal account champion, assuring clear and regular communication to key company employees
  • Develop a deep understanding of customer needs and their specialty areas to satisfy all account requirements
  • Present information and solutions in a professional manner as well as pursue opportunities unique to each assigned account in terms of marketing, merchandising and operations
  • Develop and maintain strong executive relationships with assigned wholesalers and distributors
  • Coordinate account and market reviews of key metrics and best practices and key learning for assigned distribution In

Experience:

  • Experience in CPG Key Account Management
  • Strong analytical and planning mindset
  • Post-secondary education
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Strong communicator and presenter
  • Great at customer follow up and feedback
  • Strong Computer skills – high skill level within Excel and overall data management as well as Word and PowerPoint
  • Understanding of Market track information – Nielsen data
  • Proven negotiation and dispute resolution skills
  • Legally able to work in Canada with no travel restrictions
