Production Supervisor

Location: BC - Delta
Salary Range: $80,000 - $85,000 per year

Our Client is currently seeking a Production Supervisor (Afternoon Shift) for their operations team. This is a great opportunity for growth potential with a stable company in the Delta area.

Position: Production Supervisor 

Salary:  $80,000 – $85,000
Reports to:  Production Manager
Direct Reports:  yes 
Shift:  Afternoon shift (Approx. 3pm – 11pm) Monday- Friday  

RESPONSIBILITIES:  

  • Lead and coach all employees in accordance with the values of the company, applying leadership principles of the current program, and in a spirit of mobilization and achievement of business results and targets
  • Ensure strict adherence to the production schedule to meet customer expectations;
  • Review priorities to proactively take corrective action when necessary and ensure that downtime is minimized;
  • Act as a representative of the company to ensure compliance with policies and procedures, Employee Handbook, particularly with respect to the rules of Health & Safety, managing timesheets, Approvals of leave, etc.
  • Actively participate in the work of various committees related to production management, quality and health & safety;

REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Post-Secondary Education in Engineering / Operations Management – minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in a similar position (any combination of equivalent education and experience will be considered)
  • Demonstrates leadership – passionate leader that can coach and engage direct reports- while driving business results
  • Excellent communication & interpersonal skills
  • Driven for results – For self and team
  • Experience in an industrial automated manufacturing environment-
  • Good knowledge of the principles of continuous improvement and methodological tools for problem solving and leadership performance (PDCA, 5-why, SMED, Kaizen, Lean)
  • Strong computer / analytical / problems solving skills
