Sales Representative / Leader

Our Client is seeking an experienced Sales Leader who can organize sales and establish sales channels in Ontario and Quebec.  The successful Sales Leader will constantly strive to meet all sales goals and exceed customer expectations. If you have prior sales experience in the pet food industry, we want to hear from you!

Position:  Sales Representative / Leader

Major Responsibilities

  • Develop opportunities with new customers and generate sales
  • Manage product line to maximize sales revenues and meet company’s objectives
  • Visit new potential clients to provide information regarding company products  
  • Manage account services through quality checks and other follow-ups such as product issues, packaging, shipping & delivery and A/R.
  • Submit orders by referring to the weekly or monthly price list
  • Manage the day to day communication with customers
  • Present new products and create promotional campaigns to drive sales growth
  • Develop new business across all sales channels
  • Grow the general wholesale business
  • Prospect for new customers and convert leads into new business
  • Establish a thorough understanding of our customers business needs
  • Plan & present tailored programs based on customers’ needs
  • Develop an extensive knowledge of the market & key areas for new product development
  • Co-ordinate new product delivery to market
  • Collaboratively engage with internal colleagues to meet customer needs
  • Contribute to future planning and development that will provide Cambridge Treats with a commercial advantage.

Qualifications

  • A university degree in marketing or business studies is preferred
  • 3 + years of related experiences in pet food sales and proven track record in achieving sales targets and KPI’s
  • Experience in developing marketing and sales strategies
  • Work requires willingness to work a flexible schedule
  • Ability to develop and conduct presentations
  • Ability to persuade and influence others
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Able to work independently and without supervision
  • High attention to detail and solid organisation skills
  • A positive attitude and demonstrate the ability to get the job done
  • Solid information gathering ability and networking skills with the ability to identify and convert new business opportunities
  • A strong commitment to market and product knowledge
  • Able to undertake regular travel to service the territory effectively
  • Resilient with exceptional relationship management skills
  • Have problem solving skills to identify and resolve client’s concerns
