Position SummaryOur Client is seeking an experienced VP of Operations that can plan, direct, implement processes and control operations in a multi-plant organizational structure. This includes accountability for production, packaging, maintenance, warehousing, functions and supporting food safety and product quality programs within the food manufacturing facilities.Remuneration – Competitive compensation package tailored to the successful candidate.Responsibilities- Define and implement operations strategy, structure, and processes.
- Maintain and improve Food Safety standards at manufacturing facilities
- Define and implement operations strategy, structure, and processes
- Overall accountability for daily production goals/results at each of the manufacturing facilities.
- Floor level engagement to drive production goals, optimize performance, and engage employees in continuous improvement activities
- Monitor performance to proactively identify efficiency issues and propose solution
- Implement programs that streamline processes, optimize costs, and renovate systems in a highly changing environment.
- Being a change agent leader, driving the cultural transformation necessary to achieving world class performance within the organization
- Look for ways to drive productivity and process improvements at each facility.
- Manage the quarterly and annual budgeting process and P&L responsibilities
- Support key leaders and team members within each facility, with a goal increasing engagement, retention, and career development.
- Ability to set overall strategy and drive process improvement
- Strong business acumen with a broad understanding of fundamental business principles
Requirements
- Previous experience managing people across multiple facilities
- 10+ years experience in operations role in food manufacturing.
- Analytical problem-solving skills with an impeccable attention to detail
- Ability to set overall strategy and drive process improvement
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to collaborate and build a consensus in a high-pressure environment
