Warehouse Manager- Food Industry

Our client in the Food Industry is currently seeking a Warehouse Manager to join their growing team. This is a long term permanent role with great potential offering an excellent salary and a great working environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Warehouse Manager will ensure correct product & volumes are delivered to the customer on time & in saleable condition;
• Tracks productivity daily in order to meet & exceed the budget targets;
• Accurately plans floor layout changes to meet volume demands;
• Cost effectively schedules weekly manpower requirements based on projected volumes and previous year’s history.
• Monitors planned volume to actual and adjusts labour needs to support volume;
• Ensures Forklift Operators responsibilities are clearly defined and performance objectives are being met;
  Floor Supervision/ Supervisor relief coverage where necessary. This includes vacation overlaps
  Daily contingency planning to react to exceptions created by external & internal influences to meet customer expectations
• Evaluates & purchases material handling equipment & supplies;
• Develops & establishes systems & process to reduce costs & waste while increasing productivity;
• Implements new processes that consistently improve service to the customer while achieving cost targets;
  Warehouse Manager will ensure Warehouse is maintained in good working order & ensure the safety & efficiency of the work environment;
  

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum 5 years’ experience at a supervisory level in a warehouse facility;
• Strong organizational, planning & computer skills (Word & Excel) required;
• Excellent interpersonal & communication skills (oral & written)
• Demonstrated ability to effectively lead a group
